Tues May 26th - Trinkets and Flowers

I'm planning out a great event-packed summer for me and my friends. On the to-do list; New York trip, conventions, mustache-themed tea parties, and my overextended 3-day birthday bash consisting of Disneyland, a day through LA, and a quaint family party.

And I definitely need a hairtrim!

Sigh, if only the memorial weekend wasn't over. It was actually a pleasant weekend and I dread going back to the books.

fast and sweaty times

I've been out and about doing A LOT this past month. (Yikes! It's been a month since I last updated completely!) Some stuff have been bought, places have been visited, and good music have been heard. Overall it was a great rollercoaster of a month, but I think it's time to settle down a bit and start focusing on the end of the year stretch during school. (I still have a good 3 weeks until it's OVER!)

So here's what I've been up to.

Disneyland
Great fun! Me and Danny went out on a casual date some time ago and I really wanted to be comfortable while still looking nice and sweet. The dress was a classic choice for me. (Just as a little black dress would be a staple for others!) Even though I got it ages ago, I feel like it's still just as versatile and pleasing as any one of my other newer dresses.

Dave & Buster's
That night, raided a Dave & Buster's for a birthday bash. Wanted to dress up a bit and really wear a little black dress. So I pulled out this nifty little feathered number from out of the depths of my closet. I had to be particularly careful about the feathers being destroyed though.

Sun God Music Festival
UCSD had their annual music festival this year. The amazing lineup included The Cool Kids, Girl Talk, Sarah Bareilles, Motion City Soundtrack, Iron & Wine, and N.E.R.D.! It was an exciting moment for me, and generally very relaxing as tents and activities were enjoyed.

Sorry for being AWOL!

Sorry I've been gone and about! My laptop has been on the fritz and it's difficult to do anything at all without a laptop!

But I promise once I get it back (hopefully this weekend! I got the hard drive replaced!) updates will be coming much more steadily, and I'll be able to catch up on all the things you lovely birds have been up to.

I'll be back soon!

Wednesday April 22nd - Stripey

While most people are grinning their faces off to have summer around in their lives again, I'm as sulky as ever. The weather's warmer, but much too warm as usual for Southern California. There must simply be a place out there where perfect weather doesn't have to come at the price of something else. Yesterday, Wednesday was a fairly nice day. The sun was out and shining, but the chill winds kept you on your toes.

So I haven't worn this dress...well...ever. It has been decomposing in my closet since the day I bought it, and because I'm such a bug of the closet variety, I brought it out to try out. It was dreadfully long for my standards, so a bit of belt-play really helped with that. I ended up looking very nautical. Of course, the comfort was compromised a bit as all belts do with me, but it was still amazing to be in.

Coachella 2009

So I went to Coachella over the weekend! Although really I only got to go on Sunday, but it was still a blast anyways! I got to see such bands as the Vivian Girls, No Age, Okkervil River, Lykke Li, Peter Bjorn and John, The Cure, and of course my all-time favourite the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It was such a blast! I present to you pictures, as well as my own ridiculous outfit for the day!

My guys, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Karen O is so fabulous, no?

And that was my weekend! :) I'm hoping to be able to find time to take more outfit shots, but things have been nonstop madness for me!
