I think I've went through the majority of my closet here at school going through this month of wearing non-repeated clothing. So I ended up repeating pretty much everything haha.

The weather here was oddly very frightening cold for us. (Cold = 50-60 degs for us.) I was originally just going to bolt out with the ascot top and a sweater, but it was super super cold so I threw over the tunic. You'd think it wouldn't make a difference, but it does. I was exceptionally comfortable during my various lectures. I got many odd looks at my skirt + socks though.

The skirt was originally past-knee length. I found it much much too modest for me, so I rolled it up into a shorter skirt. (This will require REAL alterations later on. Maybe I can make a big bow with the extra material?)

The brown flats I'm selling off in my Ebay store. They actually fit quite terribly on me due to size, and I think it's best that I just not keep it.

Spotlight #1

Decided to do something fun. I'm a huge avid fan of fashion blogs as of late, and I decided to do a regular Spotlight thing for outfits that especially caught my eye. (Props to Painfully Hip for this idea)

So let's start the first spotlighting!! For this first post, everything was found at wardrobe_remix, an awesome flickr photo pool.

San Frans.
ragga_muffin looks awesome with that skirt and that top!! And the little bow just makes this even more adorable. I want to steal it so baddd, but I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate it haha.

i love my orang utan
OH DEAR GOD. MUST. HAVE. MONKEY. I absolutely love that top mixed with the high-waisted denim skirt, AND the overbearing batik.

beltshirt
You could say that this isn't exceptionally exciting, but something about the pattern and the peekaboo green just calls out to me. ♥

There's a very interesting story about that floral top I'm wearing today.

So I was thrifting through this really small place called Working Wardrobes, and I come across the most amazing pattern you've ever seen. Which is pretty much the top I'm wearing now. It was just so obnoxious and the frills!! I automatically HAD to get it, but I felt the fabric and realized it felt very much like....swim wear? I checked the bottom and before you knew it, I realized it was a bathing suit.

I was creeped out by wearing a bathing suit from a THRIFT store, if you know what I mean, but I decided some alterations would be alright. So I went back to San Diego, and pretty much cut out the bottom part LOLS. So therefore it became a top. (: It's really awesome, and the back is so cool! It's low cut and all fjcadk;lds;a. Love love love. I'm starting to get into the whole "alteration of clothes for my own benefit" thing.
